There is only one goal in our clinic, to make the patient functional again. Treating pain to the state of "no pain" is not a realistic goal in chronic pain. We try to reach to this target by:
  • make a deep evaluation of the patient's pain
  • make a diagnosis
                - this step may need a few interventions, with the guide of ultrasound or x-ray
                - sometimes the diagnosis is only possible with the process of elimination.
                - If we do not reach a diagnosis, or if there may be a surgical answer to the patient's pain, we will                         refer the patient.
  • defining the roles of patient, physical therapist, family doctor and interventionist in the future management of the pain
  • optimized medical therapy
  • suggest different physical therapy if indicated
  • providing support to the patient and the family members
  • provide as much information as possible to the patient and family and hire patient as a part of treatment team.
